Superhero squad of exceptional special educators, are the newest recipients of Cooking Autism, Inc. program grant.

Park Ridge Elementary school of Stafford, Virginia is very excited to join the Cooking Autism community! They are the newest recipients of our life-skills cooking program grant! Wowza!

This team of extraordinary educators will support three special education classrooms for children with autism. We had the pleasure to work with their speech language pathologist (SLP), Carrie, at Conway Elementary School in the 2017/18 school year, and we are very pleased to see her involvement at Park Ridge. Carrie joins SLP Sara Rodrigues and team. What a treat!

These superhero teachers are off to give their students the very best opportunities of growth. They will have the ability to help their students improve upon important life-skills; such as, fine motor skills, asking and answering questions, sequencing, following written and verbal directions, advocating desires and needs, table manners and more. We look forward to hearing of their success stories. We will keep you updated.

Please help us support our local special needs classrooms; you can do this in several ways:

*Subscribe: This will ensure you are up to date with our grants, fundraisers and events.
*Share this information on social media. You can find us on Facebook and Twitter.
*Start a fundraiser in our name on any social media platform. These are a fun way to spread the word about our efforts.
*Volunteer with us...there are always plenty of ways to help!
*And, of course, a small single or monthly donation is always welcomed. It is incredible how teachers can stretch a dollar when it comes to supporting the needs of their students. Superheroes, I tell ya!

Thank you!

Our efforts have been extremely successful because of you! We are now supporting 20 classrooms this school year, which is 15 more than our initial goal! Wow!

Our organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation. We are only able to impact our special needs classrooms because of the generosity of our community. We are so pleased and blessed to be a part of this amazing VILLAGE! Our village is strong!

Thank you to Slate Realty, Pohanka Nissan of Fredericksburg, Ebenezer United Methodist, And New Hope United Methodist for not only supporting our efforts, but for also believing in the abilities of our students!
