Cooking Autism, Inc. is very excited to announce our newest grant recipients!
This wonderful group of educators from Winding Creek Elementary School is the newest recipients of the Cooking Autism, Inc. Life-Skills Cooking Class grant. This team was awarding this grant to help supply important cooking classes that will teach important life-skills to their special education classrooms in their Stafford, Virginia school.
We are extremely excited to be able to support these amazing educators as they provide opportunities of growth and learning to their students. Melody Hamlin, their Speech Language Pathologist, has been committed to finding the best resources available to helping her school and students. With her support of the Winding Creek team, we are excited to see their love and passion for their students as they begin their cooking classes. We know it will be a huge success and we look forward to hearing their success stories.
Cooking Autism, Inc. supplies grants and tools to classrooms that engage in teaching life-skills cooking programs for their special education students. These important programs focus on skills that are sometimes difficult to grasp; fine motor skills, communication, asking and answering questions, sequencing, socialization, basic manners, cleanliness, following step by step directions, and more. Because every student has different needs and abilities, these classes are adapted to fit each child's personal needs.
Congratulations to these amazing Wonder-Women of Winding Creek Elementary School in Stafford. We are truly honored to support your efforts in proving the very best opportunities of growth to our special needs community!
