H.H. Poole Special Educators recieve grant to start a life-skills cooking program!

August 8, 2019

Congratulations to Madilyn Gatewood and her fantastic team of special educators at H.H. Poole Middle! Madilyn was awarded a 2019/20 Cooking Autism, Inc.  grant to help start, and support, her special education life skills cooking program.

Programs like these are important because they give students opportunities to practice language, asking and answering questions, fine motor skills, sequencing, following step by step directions, following and giving verbal instructions, and many more important life skills that can be challenging for some to master.

We thank you, Madilyn, and your fantastic team, for utilizing your skills to further support your amazing students and our community!
