BINGO brings the masses of supporters for Cooking Autism, Inc.!

We are so very proud of the tremendous success of our 2nd annual Bingo night for Cooking Autism, Inc. The Conway PTA hosted the event, and all proceeds will go to Cooking Autism, Inc. to support local special education classrooms with their life-skills cooking programs!

Fine motor skills, language, communication, asking and answering questions, following step by step directions, sequencing, cleanliness, and socialization are some life-skills that are often difficult for some students with special needs to pick up. These skills are taught in the very natural setting of cooking. We are very proud to help offer support to cooking programs that focus on providing opportunities of success for students by helping sharpen their life-skills.

Conway Elementary School packed the supporters in with an estimated 500 in attendance and an additional 30 fantastic volunteers! This event raised $7,100 in support for Cooking Autism, Inc. which will continue support for approximately 14 special education classrooms for an entire year! WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER! The students and teachers are the biggest winners from successful events like these.

A huge thank you to the Conway ES PTA for inviting us back for a second year for this fantastic fundraiser! Thank you to all of the local business for your donations of raffle items and gift cards. Wowza! We had some happy winners. And thank you to the dozens of volunteers working the event and all of the families that brought supplies and food for the big night! We could not have made this event so successful without your help.

We sure hope that you all will join us for some of our next events, including our first ever Race Toward Autism Awareness Walk and Free Family Festival.

A special thank you to CPB Behavioral Therapy And Advocacy Services and Marcos Pizza in White Oak for keeping the masses fed! The food was spectacular and everyone left full and happy!

Thank you to Affordable Automotive Repair, Paragon Autism Services, Veranda 804 mobile boutique, Black Sheet Printing, Pohanka Nissan of Fredericksburg, Spectrum Autism Services, Alliance ABA and Slate Realty for your sponsorship! We are so thankful for all that you do to support our community!

EDUCATORS: If you are interested in applying for a grant and are in need of support for a life-skills cooking program, we will open up registration in just a few short months. Please subscribe. We will send periodic reminders as we get closer to our grant registration. Also... thank you for serving our community!
